how to make a delicious smoothie

As part of my June bucket list, I planned to make a healthy smoothie. I don't tend to make a lot of smoothies as I've always felt they take a lot of time to prepare. But this was really quick and easy with a delicious taste. Here is the recipe for a strawberry and blueberry smoothie if you fancy making it. You will be glad you did. I am now addicted!

Ingredients - makes two drinks
125g/4oz strawberries, hulled
125g/4oz blueberries
1 small banana, peeled and cut into chunks
125ml/4fl oz fresh orange juice
A cupful of crushed ice

Place the ingredients in a smoothie maker, blender or food processor.
Blend until smooth and frothy.
Serve immediately.

Sit back and think how good you are for being so healthy!

Enjoy!

  1. It sounds good. I've never really done smoothies as I'm a bit lazy when it comes to food and, as we don't have our own house, have limited room to store fruit and veg, but this one I could do!

    1. It tastes really good, I've definitely found a favourite in this one. I just used a cheap hand blender as I don't have a smoothie maker. It works just as well.
Enjoy the rest of your day xx

  2. I have all those ingredients in my fridge and I am going to make one right now, perfect for a hot summer's day, thank you Rachel :) Jen xx

  5. The strawberry/blueberry/banana is one of my fave combos! I add a little coconut water instead of orange juice and throw in some baby spinach for some greens. It's not nearly as pretty as your smoothie but it sure does taste good!
